I embarked on a project to build a custom PC case to fit an odd format
HP 8300 Motherboard. These do not fit in a traditional PC case, but there small size and is what I
needed; slightly bigger than an ITX motherboard but still fit the 11”x11” required to fit in a shelf.
Decided to designed and built using what I could find in the garage (to keep cost down)
Old PC Case, Plastic panels, board from the shelf. Had to order a 1U power supply ($15) to make
the project all fit within the 11”x11”case.
Worked out well, runs an I5-3750 and 256G SSD with 8GB ram. More than enough for decoding my radio signals.
